Rules

These are the server rules. You are expected to adhere to them at all times!

Rule 1. Keep Things in English

We respect and welcome players of all backgrounds, however we are an English speaking server, so please keep discussions in English only to allow everyone to join in on the discussion.

Rule 2. Be Polite and Respectful

Regardless of your personal feelings for someone, we ask that you treat everyone with respect while engaging in the server.We have zero-tolerance towards harassment and bullying, as well as any and all kinds of discrimination that might make others feel unsafe to be around the server.Please refrain form bringing outside drama onto the server.No Homophobia, Transphobia, Racism, Ableism, or "Edgy" Humor at the expense of others.Also, please do not use the term "Futa". "Futa" is an (unwelcome) fetish, not a gender; you are welcome to make trans characters, obviously.

Rule 3. No Inappropriate Content

Messages containing explicit, violent, gory, illegal, nsfw, obscene and/or otherwise offensive content or references to such content are not allowed and will be deleted if seen.All NSFW content must be in properly marked channels / threads.
This server revolves around adult characters and thus sexual, violent, dark, or mature topics may occur.
Please note that Incest, Bestiality, and SA/Rape/Non-con are not allowed as "kinks.""CNC" between characters is.
Please respect people's limits/boundaries. Use of spoilers for triggering content and proper tagging of channels is required.At any time, a player may use the X card (or ❌ ) to request a scene be ended. You may not debate why, you are simply asked to move on.

Rule 4. Do Not Spam

Spamming is not permitted in any channels, nor to another member of the server through dms.Please respect people's DM roles; one time mistakes happen, but repeatedly ignoring people's DM requests is not tolerated.

Rule 5. No AI or Plagiarizing

We respect all artists and request that you make efforts to ensure that all faceclaims / character art come from sourced / non-AI art. Use of AI-art will result in a warning or ban._{^{However, we understand that this can be difficult in the current internet age; repeated acknowledged use of AI or advertising your own "AI art" is different than using a random image that turns out to be AI; for example, searching Faceclaims on Pinterest these days is almost 90% AI. Mistakes happen.}}Using AI to write your RP is disrespectful to your RP partner; if you are found to be using AI to write your RP, disciplinary action will be taken, resulting in a warning or ban.

Rule 6. Do Not Advertise Services

Messages that mention selling anything are not allowed. These are often vectors for scams via discord; any user who is reported for DMing solicitation of any service for money will be banned and reported to Discord TOS.

Rule 7. Do Not Post Advertisements or Promotions

Do not advertise any goods, software, servers, websites, campaigns, or similar content without permission from the staff or moderators to do so in advance.

Rule 8. Use Channels Correctly

Use the channels for their correct purpose. You can check either the channel descriptions or server-manual for the usage purpose of each channel. While everyone in this server must be 18+, not every channel is the proper vector for 18+ content. Similarly, please respect OOC and OC channels.

Rule 9. Do Not Post Content That Violates Discord TOS.

Rule 10. Remember to Have Fun

RP is a hobby and creative past-time for many people, which involves their time, energy, and concentration. If you know you will be unavailable for longer than 24 hours, please leave a note for your partners; repeated abandonment of scenes will result in warnings.

Rule 11. Players are limited to 3 CC & 1 OC to start with.

Players are limited to 3 canon characters to start with.More than 3 can be determined on a case-by-case basis based on activity and regularity.Players are also allowed 1 OC. OCs can be Sinners or MBCC staff.

Rule 12. Review the appropriate channels and threads for getting started.

Please take a moment to check over introduction, server-setting, roleplay-guidelines, and verify for general help, and taken-charaters to see who is currently taken on the roster.

Rule 13. Absolutely under no circumstances may underage characters be included in ERP scenes.

While the PTN setting is quite dark and mature, that does not allow said characters to be involved in sexual situations. All other characters not listed here are assumed to be at least 18. Server Setting

Welcome to the Minos Buereau of Crisis Control, otherwise known as the MBCC. Although I am sure you are aware, our goal at the MBCC, publicly, is to detain and control Sinners. Internally, however, our goal is to help maintain the risk of Sinners through containment, rehabilitation, and Mania Management.DisCity is in a period of great upheavel, and the Mania crisis is escalating. With help from the Framework Against Catastrophy (FAC) force and inroads with Syndicate groups such as the Legion and SALVA, we've begun a tenuous road of hope.I won't sugar coat it; our job is not easy and I know that many of you resent the MBCC and by proxy myself , for how you have come to be here. I also know that my... predecessors have been... problematic.Whether you are new here or you have been here for some time, I hope we can work together for the betterment of all of us and for DisCity as well.

RP Guidelines

These are our general Roleplay Guidelines that you are expected to adhere to while in the server.We also expect people to engage in basic RP etiquette.If you're new to RP or not familiar with what RP etiquette is, please read this guide!

1. Roleplay Style

We prefer semi-literate to literate roleplaying in individual scenes. Please avoid one-liners, unless they make absolute sense and your partner is fine with 'faster' turn around. For example, if Character 1 says something that can only be responded to 'briefly', Character 2 can do so, as long as their following post is sufficiently long. Vibes and flow are important, but only replying to your partners with single line responses is not acceptable in the long-run.

2. Short-form Options

Taking advantage of the modern setting, characters will have access to a group chat, individual DMs, and group DMs at their leisure. Please use these for whatever you like; they are great for short, quick bursts of RP, of moving plot-lines, or just having casual RP. The rule of semi-literate / literate RP does not apply to DMs.

3. Perspective

Please use third person when writing. For example, "Eleanor moved across the floor of the club, gliding between patrons", rather than "I move across the room, gliding between patrons".

4. Player Safety

Please adhere to character and player limits and requests. If a player is not comfortable with a topic or type of scene, please do not 'surprise' them with it.

5. NSFW RP

NSFW scenes must be tagged as such.

NSFW RP Guidelines

These are our NSFW guidelines, though they can apply to any 18+ or "Dark" roleplay.Meaning, not just spicy RP but also graphic violence, substance use, etc. etc.

1. Understanding Terms

While this is not specifically a BDSM related RP server, the guidelines utilized for kink-relayed play are very helpful to give thought to how and why one should approach more adult RP situations. And, frankly, BDSM/Kink dynamics are very, very popular in shipping lingo, so knowing more about it and what it means is important.

2. BDSM Basics

BDSM is often misunderstood as violent, abusive, or controlling. Instead, it is better considered a dynamic of giving and taking, and both the Dom/me and Sub are required to put equal effort into the give and take of power and control. A Domme that beats and demeans and is violent to their Sub is not a good Domme, they are just abusive. Similarly, a Sub that simply lays on their back like a dead fish is not submitting.

3. Use SSC and RACK

This server, though fictional roleplay, adheres to a combination of SSC and RACK, rather than one or the other. If you aren't sure what those mean, you can read a short summary here.

4. Consent

BDSM and consent are very important, if not the most important basis of a relationship. This applies in and OUT of character in RP; if your partner says NO, then that is it. If pushed, please message a mod.

5. Respect your RP Partners

When engaging in NSFW situations in your RP, please keep in mind comfort and that the writers involved are, generally, here for the same thing: to have fun and work creatively! Please make sure you adhere to people's likes, dislikes, and especially limits, both IC and OOC.

Getting Started with RP!

For roleplaying in general, there's a lot of guides online now about RP basics, etiquette and so on so forth.
You can find one suited to your style of learning any way you like! Just toss "Roleplay ettiquite" or "How to roleplay" into a search engine and run wild!Here's a few I found online from a quick search:

For Server-specific RP recommendations, lets go through it step by step!

Step one:
Get familiar with the setting!

Read server-setting for a general concept of what the server is set in.

Step two:
Pick a character!

For this server specifically, you'll be claiming a character or making your own!Look at available-characters for the characters that are open, or (taken-charaters](#characters) can show you who is already in play!When you know who you want, reserve up to two in character-reserves. (Optional)

Step three:
Apply for the character

Use the submission-template for your character application.
Note there's an extra few questions for original characters!Once you fill it out, post it in character-submissions._{^{You can see some examples with #Female Chief or #Ameline, but any of the approved-characters works!}}

Step four:
Approval or Review

After posting, one of the mods will review your app and either ask for edits, or tell you its approved!
If you need to make edits, don't worry! We'll work together to get you through!Once you are approved, you'll repost that same info in approved-characters and add the last bit of info from the submission-template

Step five:
Roleplay!

You're approved!! Now what? Well, you can:

Character Limits

Every member is allowed 3 Canon Characters to start with!More than 3 can be determined on a case-by-case basis based on factors such as: activity, regularity, length of time in the server, and amount of moderation events and/or warnings.^{A minimum of 1 month of activity in the server is required.}

Each member can have 1 Original character. They must adhere to the PTN universe and fit the lore.^{At this time, no additional OCs can be added as this is a very small fandom and OCs will rapidly outnumber CCs.}

Because the "Immotal" libram Sinners and Expedition members in the game are somewhat vaguely outlined, there are additional Server Setting details for these characters.These may change as AISNO releases information!

Projections of Memories

After several dives into the tides of the DisSea, Paradeisos and the Chief have managed to successfully recover fragments of the Case File 𐌉𐌌𐌌O𐌓𐌕Ɐ𐌋 Sinners.These loose fragments have been extracted from the Chief's recovered memories through the LINK system, and uploaded to ▇▇▇▇. Aggregated data has been able to produce loose holographic projections of their resonance; but it remains fractured and subject to corruption. Engagement in the Mirage system has further bolstered stable images of these Sinners.As a fail safe, these projections are monitored for sharp increases in M-value in the projections, or in surrounding parties; Sinner, human, electronic, or otherwise. If any such spike is detected by Paradeisos and FAC mania monitoring equipment, the projection will forcibly shut down and trigger the Shackles, returning the Sinner to dormancy. If such an event occurs, they will require manual restart from an authorized agent.Because of the intense monitoring required, and risks of exposing the public to high levels of Mania, these Sinners are incapable of leaving the bureau's underground facilities and are restricted to non-public locations.Efforts to retrieve fragmented memories, as well as lost physical forms, are in process. Research on Sinners such as YingYing and Jasmine have furthered the MBCC's understanding of mania corruption and possible recovery, but have not garnished enough data as of yet.

The simulacrum/hologram is a projection of their Resonance
_{^{Which is essentially PTN's term for souls. They will have a continuum of thought and memory as they exist like this, provided corruption doesn't erase said new memories.}}
_{^{Corruption can, of course, damage old memories and impair the formation of new ones at the discretion of their player.}}
Immortals are very powerful, so we expect RPers to self-regulate this fact and the immortal's abilities through this system (such as the force shut down) to keep RP fair and equitable!

Anti-Discrimination Notice to other Sinners:

Holographic projections should be treated the same as any other living, breathing being; as there is no evidence that these beings cannot think and feel independently. They will, however, require assistance interacting with the physical world.Electronic systems are programmed to respond to them, allowing them limited database access and connection to media and entertainment, but physical items such as books will be inaccessible to means outside of Mania-related phenomenon. Thus, efforts to manipulate physical objects may falsely trigger M-value spike protocols, and are not advised.

OOC notes:

Using mania, these simulacrums can interact with physical items, but narratively its "not advised" because it "might produce a false spike in Mania".

Unique Play Aspects:

Playing to Find Out:

As the Expedition members are currently preparing to go on the Expedition and the RP will take place 2 years before they enter, a good portion of the initial RP will be about them as a team and about their drive to discover and prepare as much as possible. Expedition team members will occasionally be asked to Roll to find out certain things. Currently, this system will use the Apocalypse / Dungeon World 2d6 System in order to do achieve this. This system is useful because there is no "fail" state, instead there are levels of consequence; players will generally get what they want, but things may not go the way they wish. If this aspect of randomness is not something you enjoy, please consider not playing an Immortal.

Across Time:

Since Immortals will be unable to be played physically in the modern/current day era, we will be enabling players to have a separate adventure by playing the EF 2 years before the expedition into DisSea occurs. This will allow for more "day to day" roleplay, relationship building, and let members build rapport and create bonds.Expedition member players will be asked to keep track of their timelines, and we ask that players be considerate to not take on too many of one or the other. Consider this as fun ways to create memories that your Immortals can later try and "reclaim" as their contamination is reduced and they recover their senses of self!

Chief and the Expedition Force:

While the game has Chief take on a role in the Expedition, the RP will not include this aspect. However, Chief will have "performed" the dives into the EF members as part of the process of recovering them, which will be expanded on with further rp. In the case of characters such as Shin, to navigate around the problem of Chief likely choosing to kill or not save her, we'll be erring on the idea that Shin can be "saved". This will extend to any future Immortals if they share similar problems.

Shin and "Evil" Immortals

How will this be handled?

A good question. The issue of "evil" Sinners is somewhat ameliorated by the idea that many of them "calm down" when they are taken by the MBCC and Shackled to Chief. Immortals, however, are so powerful and so dangerous that this presents different problems, and in the case of Shin specifically, her corruption makes playing her something difficult to navigate. Shin is an "evil" character, in that she is selfish and driven to her own goals, which generally involve trying to corrupt others with Mania and her obsession with the Abyss. This doesn't really make her "RP Friendly", because realistically there is no way Chief would ever allow someone like that into the MBCC without her being heavily confined and restricted. Beyond that, there is even the argument that Chief would have killed Shin instead.For the sake of having fun and playing, an aspect of Shin's character is that she will have much more severe restrictions on her for "Kill Switch" purposes, but also that her recovery has begun to reverse her severely dangerous personality and corruption. This doesn't mean Shin has to be played as a puppy, but she will be monitored far more heavily OOC and IC than other Immortals, and also serve as a precedent for any future "Evil" members of the Expedition Force.

Application Process

After you find a character that is available, you can "reserve" them for up to 1 week, or simply apply for them.Applications will go in the "Character-Submissions" channel as a new forum. Once approved, you can add it to "Approved-Characters"!In the submission process you may be asked to make edits or fix discrepancies. It's very rare that you'll be denied, rather, we'll just ask for some revisions.Only "Immortal" Libram Sinners have strict application guidelines. Special Conditions on the Application Process

Increased Difficulty on Applications

Because there's only so many Immortal Sinners, and their unique RP applications, applications will be scrutinized EXTRA hard. Double-approvals are required (two admin approvals instead of just one) and stricter measures are taken to assure that you can play them fairly and understand the concepts outlined here. We don't intend to make anyone feel bad if they are denied a character they want. We understand that this may be upsetting, regardless, as we all get attached to our favorite muses and you may even disagree with our suggestions! Still, we ask you accept the rejection gracefully, as complaining in the public channels will discourage people from applying too.If you can't do this, or it would be too heartbreaking to be rejected, please consider applying for a non-Immortal sinner instead!

Cooldown Period

If you are denied, the character will be placed back into the "available characters" list for 1 week (may be longer if someone else reserves them) to allow other players to reserve and apply for them and try out. At the end of this period, you are welcome to reserve and apply again! Multiple denials will result in a long-term bar from that character, though. So be careful! (And feel free to ask questions.)

Personality: Calculating, compassionate, and cunning, the current Chief of the MBCC differs from her predecessors in a few ways that, to her, remain a mystery. But those differences don't matter; what is here is a woman who cares about the Sinners under her care and refuses to treat them as simple tools. While many may view the MBCC as a prison, the Chief sees it as a place to keep the Sinners safe and pursue the truths of her lost memory and the current issues facing DisCity. At times childish and stubborn, the Chief is also notoriously bad at taking care of herself, pushing long hours into her research and efforts to help the Sinners, often at the cost of her own well-being.Backstory: Recently awakened, the current Chief of the MBCC is not the same woman that held the position before her. All she knows of "that" Chief is that they were notoriously cruel to the Sinners under their charge, but little else is known to her. For her own story, the "current" Chief--if there really is any difference--was woken up due to the meddling of still unknown forces. RP Desires: I like relationship RP, particularly ones that focus on growth and development rather than one night stands. I have a heavy enjoyment for drama and conflict that is resolved by the characters organically, and I love RPing little moments or small scenes in characters days/relationships that aren't just "big deal" events.RP Limits: I require TW for the inclusion or mention of SA, and will not rp my character being SA'd. Arrest Record: After realizing the MBCC's open case 'Eastside Vampire' was about her, Ameline turned herself in.Personality: Always giving forth an air of socialite charm with a smirk plastered forever on her lips, Ameline carries on the aristocratic history of her family with grace. Sociable and attentive, but only because she is in constant agony maintaining this front. Due to the corruption writhing in her bloodstream, Ameline has an increasingly painful desire to feed on blood. Self-described as 'I am not myself. I stand above, manipulating my strings in the way a person should act.' Were she to ever let go, a ravenous monster would be let loose, and she would rather die than suffer it again.Backstory:
A famous novelist from Eastside, Ameline's works are gripping romantic horrors. Sharing with DisCity monsters not born of mania, but of conflicts between man and his heart. To any public knowledge, Ameline's personal story is one of rising up from tragedy to bring art out of misery. The survivor of a brutal home invasion that took the lives of all her family, spare her, Ameline's following novel 'Treason on Life,' was viewed as a mournful farewell to those she lost, fictionalized as a lover who writes letters to her deceased partner, to one day find one written back.
Her publications would continue to gain popularity, as romantic stories that always had a horror twist on the setting.However, Ameline would eventually turn herself in to the MBCC to resolve the case of the 'Eastside Vampire.' As she tells it, the murder of her family was not a home invasion, but her own fault. Afflicted by mania in a daring trip outside DisCity for inspiration, her transformation into a Sinner was marked by her losing control of herself, sating her boundless hunger on her own family. She would feed her urges secretly in the following years, but as the MBCC had taken notice of her increasing slip-ups, Ameline finally stepped forward to ask for help. Personality Before:
Pylgia was an isolated child, and an even more isolated young adult. Though her affection for the ocean, and her unique behaviors, were better tolerated as a young child it became obvious to others that she was 'different' as she grew older. She, however, had always known that she didn't belong.The gentle lap of the waves and the feeling of salt-water clinging to her skin always called her... While on land, the air hurt, light hurt, noises hurt; but the water deafened the sound, and gently cradled her in the soft currents. People were confusing, their tempers unpredictable, but the ocean's tides were clear and precise. She could easily foresee when the sea would choose to rend boats with its ire, and when it would offer its bounty. The creatures of the sea told her everything she ever needed to know, offering her the guidance those on land would not.Though she always had a deep longing to be accepted and understood, to help her parents and peers, the more she tried the worse things seemed to get. Her voice would freeze in her throat, and no one seemed to have the patience to wait for her to find it again. In the end, she surrendered trying to force her thoughts into words. Quietly moving through life, thinking about the one place who truly understood her.The expedition team wasn't much better than the rest of the world, her flat affect and monotone voice put people around her off. She quietly endured every overheard conversation, and volunteered for every suicide diver mission she could. It meant she could return to the dark, and find solace with the creatures who understood her... and, it meant that no one else would get hurt in the water.Overall, Pylgia was quiet, lonely, and self-depreciating, but also logical, stubborn, brave, and protective. She wanted the best for others, even at the cost of herself.

Personality Now:
The abyss almost stole what little bit of humanity Pylgia had ever seen in her own reflection. The whispers about her 'alien' behavior had rooted deep in her heart, and were it not for the little guide, her body would have warped to reflect the monstrous shape she'd come to believe herself as. After all, if everyone said you were a bad person, then perhaps you were?With the Chief's determination, Pylgia was reminded of hope and her own humanity, and found herself persisting-- wanting for a life where she could be loved and accepted as who she was. This hope kindled in her soul, and staved away the corruption for a time.When it inevitably returned, Pylgia remained mostly lucid. Speaking of being lost before, but knowing the way back now that she'd traversed the path home once before. This fact has made her mind more resilient to further corruption; though, not completely immune. Her time alone in the Abyss, fighting to recover those lost, has definitely left her fragmented and prone to disjointed and displaced behaviors.In cognizance, she spends a lot of her time wanting to 'retrieve' others from the darkness she knew, focusing on other "Immortal" Sinners, the lost expedition crew, and those exhibiting high degrees of mania corruption. This can be positive at times, and at others negative-- trying to save people from dangers that aren't really there, or take care of people in ways that they don't want to be tended to.She still struggles to speak to others, exhibiting signs of a communication disability... which often leads her to only speaking with the Chief, who she feels can understand her in just a few words. She'll typically try to 'fix' problems whenever they arise, in a way that she seems most logical, which can lead to issues with others.Meanwhile, in her less lucid moments, she spends her time reacting to the modern world as if it were a threat to herself and to others. She sees herself as a protector, striking out at anything that she thinks might cause harm to those around her. In the dark abyss, this was a boon-- but in the modern world, she's simply upset by a pool cleaner or trying to get other Sinners out of calm and untouched waters, shouting at them about the darkness that lurks below or trying to fighten them away with non-verbal means of intimidation.Overall, she's still quite withdrawn, learning to be comfortable in her own skin and embrace her own differences, but she's come to embody the fighter and survivor that nearly walked out of the DisSea and chose to return for the sake of her first human friends.

Backstory: Born in NF 4, Pylgia doesn't remember a world where monsters and catastrophes weren't spoken about in hushed voices. Born to a young couple in a coastal fishing town called "Santis Port", Pylgia never had any siblings and was the primary focus of her parents. In her early years, she was often taken out onto the ocean waters while her parents fished, and raised on meals that had been pulled from mania corrupted waters; as such, her power awoke early in her youth under the stress of attempting to engage with others and the pressure to "be less weird." Her parents meant well, but they didn't know how to accommodate her needs, nor how to protect her from the world, which manifested as frustration with her at times. She took solace under the ocean's waves where sea creatures could communicate with her in ways she couldn't manage with other humans.As the years progressed, the commerce for fishing dried up further and further. Disasters and mania wrought havoc on the small town, forcing boats to be permanently anchored in the face of the many storms. What once was a prosperous sea-side town became an abandoned wasteland. Though warned not to enter the water, Pylgia couldn't resist sneaking out and dipping beneath the sea foam, even when the storms were at their worst. In one such event, she happened upon a damage sea vessel and managed to guide the team and their ship safely back to shore. Despite being praised as a hero by Shin and her crew, Pylgia's actions were admonished and she was forbidden from entering the sea again. She complied, knowing her friends, the only friends she ever knew, were waiting for her without so much as getting to say goodbye.Pylgia and her family were among the last remaining in the town, and her days grew dreary and bleak without a place to exist as herself. Ridiculed and subjected to bullying and mockery from her classmates, Pylgia shut down more and more. Reduced to silent tears in class and unable to speak up about what was occurring while at home. All she could muster was a soft "I'm fine" while her heart begged for salvation. The only thing that kept her going was the belief that she would one day get to return to the ocean, but that dream was also shattered when her parents deemed it necessary to move inland. The decision drove Pylgia back into the breakwaters, finally getting to see her friends again... to say farewell one last time. While the oceans waters beckoned her to return and never leave, her parent's loving calls from above reminded her she had to return.Inland, her life was not very noteworthy. Her days spent desperately trying to find a place to carve out as her own and failing. Her voice stunted, with nowhere to return but the distant memories of the ocean... The sea, unable to beckon her from so far away, eventually sent an envoy to her side. In NF 22, Shin, the woman from the ship she had once saved all those years ago, came to request she join the team as 'the best diver'.She became a part of Keylan's expedition team, looking for answers that would quiet the raging storm and allow not only herself, but all of humanity to find safety in the dangerous waters once again. Maybe trying beef wouldn't get her peers to join her in the brine, but if she could make it safe again... people could finally see just how beautiful it was...Many divers perished on the missions, but Pylgia was able to remain safe and calm each dive, earning her an unfortunate reputation.By NF 25, she was declared missing, and presumed dead.What, once lost, couldn't be found again? Time was one answer, the only answer she knew for a long long while... but, with the guide's help, she realized life was the second.

How much of their consciousness has been recovered and uploaded?
Pylgia has recovered about half of her consciousness-- a fair amount, given her strong presence in two of the Chief's dives. Since she's the only Sinner who is shown having damages undone by Chief, and is the only one featured prominently in two different dive events. Because of this, I figure she's a little bit more stable than others. Chief's actions injected her with a moment of hope and resilience, allowing her some degree of resistance to the corruption over the following years. Of course, despite her own doubts on the matter, she is only human. Parts of her consciousness eroded over time, and parts of her are still seeking out the deep-dive members that were lost in Shin's final expedition. Until she can find them, the rest of her can never fully return.So her lucidity can come and go as she seems to struggle between her convergent timelines. In one, she lacks traditional cognition and sees herself a creature of the depths, severed from humans and 'one with the ocean'. The other presents a human woman, lucid and determined to cling to the version of herself the guide fought so hard to recover. This resolute form contends with the abyss periodically, fluctuating back and forth as she struggles to remain in her moments of lucidity more than the grim alternative fate originally had in store for her. Her successes outnumber her failures, and the appearance of Chief is something that easily stabilizes her mania.Does their corruption cause them any problems around the Bureau? What restraints are enacted on their specific case?
Pylgia's corruption is mostly stable, though her body displays severe mutations similar to that of a corruptor. The long, mutated appendages and regenerating barnacles have put other Sinners and Staff on edge... and, unfortunately, her tendency to move quietly and not speak has created a series of 'jump-scare' incidents where Pylgia is said to "suddenly appear" in dark corners of the Bureau. In reality, she's simply seeking solitude and refuge from the high degrees of stimulation, and is unable to verbalize an apology whenever these events occur. She always apologizes to Chief for the trouble, later.Pylgia's power itself isn't too terribly hard to control with the holographic system. Most of her ability relates to her physical powers, between her harpoon and the mania-gown appendages and life forms sprouting at her will... Without her physical body, and physical weapon, its difficult for her to manifest any of these other than visual effects on her person. If her body is ever recovered, this risk will need to be reassessed.Aside from scaring others with her appearance, she can also cause a bit of a commotion when she's trying to protect someone from a threat that isn't there... Or, occasionally, misinterpreting human cues or behaving in animalistic ways. Not harmful at all, but still alarming to others and may need staff involvement.Pylgia is, unfortunately, highly sensitive to perceived rejections. Events in this theme may cause her to manifest additional corrupted limbs and/or visibly decomposing and translucent skin when overwhelmed and feeling out of place. This has yet to cause issues, but such incidents closely monitored as a precaution for further destabilization and danger.For her case, she's given access to bodies of water throughout the Bureau, and a "sensory deprivation tank" where she can rest and recuperate in "dark and silent water" that mimics the deep ocean. This is often enough to stabilize her mania and keep her from triggering a shut-down in her simulacrum projection.Since Pylgia self-regulates her own mania (seeking out the sensory tank whenever she feels overwhelmed) and often looks to the Chief for any and all guidance, restrictions have mostly been efforts to keep her from startling or panicking others (and to prevent their panic from degrading her condition).
